Short answer
Tradelines can show on your credit report in as little as 11 days. The exact timing depends on the statement date of the card you choose, which is why every line in our inventory lists its reporting date.
What decides when a tradeline posts
The biggest factor is the card’s statement date. Banks send updates to the credit bureaus once a month, right after the statement closes. So if you are added a few days before that date, the account usually appears in the next update. If you miss it, you wait for the following month. That is why each tradeline lists its reporting date, so you can plan around a loan application or another deadline.
What if tradelines aren’t on my credit report yet?
If you bought a seasoned tradeline and think it hasn’t posted, work through these steps first:
1
Make sure the full reporting period has passed, including a few days for the bureaus to process the update.
2
Then check your credit report again. Some monitoring apps only refresh once a week, so a free report from AnnualCreditReport.com is the most reliable check.
3
Still missing? Contact our support team and we will sort it out. Every line is also covered by our posting guarantee.
How long tradelines stay on my credit report
Once a tradeline posts, you stay on the account for two reporting cycles, which is about two months. After that you are removed, and the line shows as a closed account. However, closed accounts in good standing often stay on your report for years, so the history can keep helping you. If you need more time as an active user, extensions are available.
