Short answer
Tradeline companies vary widely. The best way to compare them is to look at what each one shows you before you pay, what it promises in writing, and whether you can reach a real person. Use the table below as a starting point.
We sell tradelines, so we have a stake in this topic. We wrote this to be useful whichever company you pick, and we have not named or ranked any competitors. For a ranked list with reviews, see The 8 Best Tradeline Companies in 2026.

Questions to ask before you pay
Copy these into an email or ask them on the phone. A good company will answer them directly.
- What exactly is the guarantee, and can I see it in writing? Ask what it covers and what conditions apply, such as how far before the reporting date you must buy.
- What are the bank, limit, account age and reporting date on this line?
- Which bureaus will this account report to?
- What happens if the line does not post? Is the remedy a refund, a replacement or something else?
- What happens when the term ends? Ask what the removal does to the account on your file. If the answer is "the benefit stays," ask for specifics.
- Can I talk to someone before I buy, and who?
- If this line is not likely to help my file, will you tell me?
- What is the extension policy and price?
Question 7 is the most revealing. A company that has never turned down a sale is telling you something.
How to read reviews
- Look for named staff. Reviews that mention a specific person are harder to fake than generic five-star praise.
- Read the middle ratings. Three- and four-star reviews usually explain the real trade-offs.
- Check for posting complaints. Posting problems are the most common reason people leave bad reviews. See how the company responded.
- Treat Reddit threads as a mix. They are useful for patterns and unreliable on any single claim. Verify what you read.
Red flags that should end the conversation
- Promises about score gains or loan approval
- Countdown timers or "only 2 left" pressure
- CPN or "new credit identity" language
- No written guarantee
- Refusal to show the bank, limit or reporting date before payment
- No way to reach a person
Do you need a tradeline at all?
Often the best advice a tradeline company can give is "not yet." Tradelines add history to a file. They do not remove late payments, collections or charge-offs. If your main problem is recent negative items or high utilization, work on those first. See Authorized User Tradelines: How They Work and Who They May Not Help.
How we answer these questions
We show the bank, limit, account age and reporting date on every line before you pay. Our written guarantees cover how a line posts and performs, are backed by a full refund and a surety bond, and do not cover score changes or approvals. We will tell you before you buy if a line will not help. You can reach Matt, Kathleen and the team at our Raleigh office on (919) 200-0484.
We would rather you ask these eight questions of us too. For a side-by-side scorecard, see Tradeline Company Scorecard.
Tradelines do not guarantee any change to your credit score or approval for any loan.
